100% sealed, factory-installed lamps are connected to the wires

Water ingress is the most common problem of underground lamps. Water ingress of lamps will cause internal corrosion of the lamps, and small water droplets will appear under the glass of the lamp cover, which will eventually cause damage to internal electrical components. Even the IP67 which  claims to be suitable for outdoor use  Class lamps and lanterns also often have water ingress problems. Under such circumstances, our company invented the  IP68  grade  TM  water-proof lamps and lanterns to connect to the wire.

Why is IP68 so important for underground lights?

The general concept is that under normal use conditions, the buried light will be immersed in water for a short time (such as rainwater, low-lying areas, irrigation water, melting snow, etc.). The chart on the right shows how the water enters non-IP68 Among the grade lamps.

The IP67 test does not require the lamp to be energized, so there will be no heating and cooling effects on the air pressure inside the lamp. The IP67 test requires this type of cyclic pressure test to simulate the real external environment.

This is the reason why Rome Cisco underground lights adopt the IP68 standard. We ensure that even under immersion conditions, the equipment will still not enter the water.

The IP68 standard applies not only to the sealing of the lamp cover, but also to the cable entrance. This is also the essential condition for the sealing of the Roma Cisco MicroAntiLeach TM  cable entrance to protect the luminaire.

The problem of water leakage in buried lamps is usually caused by water in the external environment penetrating along the lamp wires. During the daily use of the lamps, the internal pressure will further test the tightness of the lamp cover and the access wires.

Because of this, every underground lamp produced by Lumascape factory uses MicroAntiLeach TM  special technology. All lamp wires are 100% waterproof, ensuring that outside water cannot enter the lamp through the wires.

Lumascape buried lights are original and simple in design, ensuring that they can pass the 20psi pressure test before leaving the factory, and are truly capable of withstanding high pressure.

The design concept of MicroAntiLeach TM is  derived from underground lights, and has been applied to all underwater lights and other types of lamps.
